As the countdown to June's 2012 Moodie Multi-National Marathon , in aid of Hand in Hand for Haiti, begins, The Moodie Report is pleased to introduce the second edition of our new feature series called Marathon Matters, in which well-known industry executives answer ten light-hearted questions about their running regime.

This week we talk to Butlers Chocolates Sales Director Karl Marnane, last year’s lightning-fast Team Captain of Butlers Bullets, who ran his leg of the 2011 Moodie Multi-National Marathon in a mightily impressive 27.37.

How often do you run?

Three times a week, but I mix it up with different distances and speeds each session.

Why do you run?

I ask myself that same question… Once I stopped playing rugby I took up triathlons and obviously as part of that you have to run, but I do find it a great way of pushing yourself. Your body is saying stop but your head is just not listening!
