An Egg-cellent day for Pilgrim kids
CHILDREN at Pilgrim Hospital will be having a fun, chocolaty day on Sunday following two eggs-traordinary deliveries.
Personnel at RAF Coningsby and bikers from Skegness and the surrounding areas have both made a delivery of yummy chocolate Easter Eggs to the children’s ward.
Children’s Ward Sister Margaret Goodley thanked everyone who delivered eggs.
She said: “Being in hospital for a child can be frightening and being given a chocolate Easter egg will help to make their hospital experience better.”
The RAF delivery was organised by Cpl Howard Charlton from the Logistics Squadron and Flt Lt Chris Ashby.
Cpl Charlton said: “This has been a great afternoon, the smiling faces from the children and the appreciation shown by the parents made it a really worthwhile event. I’m pleased that we took this opportunity to cheer up a few children who are unwell.”
The eggs had been donated by RAF personnel from the Logistics Squadron, Civil Servants, and colleagues from BAE Systems.
