Northside Middle School

- In honor of Veterans Day, Principal Bobby Beasley presented Northside Middle with a flag that flew at company outpost Koshtay Garmsir, Afghanistan, on Sept. 11, 2011. Beasley's nephew, Lance Cpl. Zachary S. Jay, was part of the 1/3 Bravo Company, 1st Platoon 3rd Squad. The flag was raised and lowered by students Chase Cannon and Andrew Reinhart.

- Students of the Month for October were Rachel Hanby, Houston Montgomery and Sophia Newcomb.

Students of the week for the week of Nov. 3 were Raven Brown, Isaiah Kimbrell and Katrina Kelley.

Students of the Week for the week of Nov. 10–16 were Allison Swiney, Josh Hudson and Courtney Hamner.

Collins-Riverside Middle School

- Collins-Riverside Middle School recently held its annual Tiger Idol contest. Kayla Callahan finished in third place, Jaydah Williams in second place and the winners were Antijah Wesley and Kephon Aaron. Brandi Moore organized the event.
