Sarah Lang, sophomore finance major, remembers her worst Valentine's Day pretty vividly.
It was her junior year of high school and she had been dating her boyfriend Jack for almost a year. They had a perfect night – Jack gave her a huge box of chocolates and a sterling silver bracelet before they headed to their favorite restaurant spot for a romantic dinner.
Dinner was delicious and Lang was excited to head back to Jack's place for a little dessert. When they got into the car, Jack said he had to tell her something.
"Is it good or bad news?" asked Lang.
"I don't know, but it's a pretty big deal," Jack replied. He went on to tell Lang that he had been thinking about it for a while, and has realized that he is bisexual.
