Portland Walking Tours unveils tasty immersion into curbside cuisine
Portland, OR (PRWEB) March 21, 2012
Portland Walking Tours, already the city's leading provider of fun and immersive excursions into Portland's notable "locavore" cuisine culture, today announced the launch of its newest, most innovative tour, "Flavor Street."
Flavor Street guides the curious food explorer to nibble, sip and taste the city's best food carts, tasting trucks, and hidden kitchens dotting the cityscape. The two-hour walk features over a half-dozen samples of an incredible array of cuisines, ranging from unique local inventions to international delights and new takes on comfort food that change seasonally.
"With over 700 food carts now operating in Portland, people increasingly ask us, 'Which ones are best?'" says David Schargel, Chief Gastronaut of Portland Walking Tours. "Our Resident Experts were already immersed in the local 'foodie' scene due to their experience with our Epicurean Excursion and Chocolate Decadence tours, so Flavor Street is a natural next step for us."
