Race car exhibit at Frontenac Mall
Kingston Area Racers are set to ‘show’ their stuff once again at Frontenac Mall’s 11th Annual Race Car Exhibit. This unofficial kick-off of short track racing will give fans a chance to see the new cars and colours that will be competing this year at tracks in Brighton, Brockville and Cornwall Speedways.
From Thursday to Saturday, March 22- 24, meet Brockville champion Danny O’Brien, plus Chris Raabe, Bobby Harrington, Timmy O’Brien, and ‘Stock Car’ Steve Bilow, who is celebrating his 41st year of racing.
Check out their amazing cars — dirt modifieds, IMCA modifieds, pure and street stocks.
Free admission.
Spelling bee registration
Each year, dozens of children from Kingston, Napanee, Lennox & Addington, Gananoque and the Township of South Frontenac compete in the regional spelling bee, an event that provides students with an opportunity to improve their skills in spelling, comprehension and communication. Practising for and competing in the bee also builds self-confidence and self-esteem and provides a wonderful venue to gain experience in public speaking.
