Since then this now global staple has gone through quite a metamorphosis, not in its basic design, but in its variety of flavors. In the good ol’ USA, we have, among others, BBQ, sour cream and chives, dill pickle, ketchup (on a hot dog perhaps … yeah, I’m one of those!) and to the delight of fire breathers everywhere, Mexican wasabi and habanera. In the UK, Brits enjoy their tuber crisps sprinkled liberally with Yorkshire pudding flavoring. Russians crave crab and caviar chips, Canadians, fries and gravy. The globe trotting potato chip connoisseur certainly has Garden of Eden of varieties to enjoy. And the point of all this?
